About

Software engineer, backend-leaning full stack. Six years across three employers, in .NET and TypeScript.

Based in Tbilisi, Georgia (UTC+4). Planning a move to Tokyo. Open to remote engagements.

How I work

  • Backend systems and integrations. Much of my work connects a product to platforms it does not control, such as Google Workspace, WhatsApp and SAP. I build against measured behaviour rather than documentation alone, and instrument the result so a failure is reported instead of discovered later.
  • I build the tool instead of repeating the task. CI/CD template libraries, client libraries, pre-commit guards, test harnesses, internal CLIs. Things other engineers depend on.
  • I build with Claude Code, and build tooling for it. AI-assisted engineering is my working method, not a novelty. That includes designing MCP access to a logging platform so agents can query it directly, and a pre-commit hook that validates CI configuration.

Stack

  • Current: TypeScript on Bun and Hono, React, PostgreSQL, Node.
  • Deepest, about six years: C# / .NET (Core, 6/7/8, Web API), Entity Framework, SQL Server.
  • Also: Docker, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, Python and Flask, GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager, Vertex AI), AWS at EC2 level, Grafana, New Relic, Chrome extensions (MV3), Svelte, Astro, Drizzle, Testcontainers, xUnit, pytest, Vitest.

Experience

HeYou, Full Stack Engineer

Remote, April 2026 to present. Part-time until June, full-time since July 2026.

A GTM and sales-intelligence platform: Chrome extension, Bun/Hono backend, React web app.

  • Main contributor on the browser extension. Built a WhatsApp integration end to end across all three codebases, against a surface with no documented contract.
  • Sole engineer on the Google Workspace calendar integration: domain-wide delegation, whole-organisation sync, and an incremental sync engine. Details.
  • Two-layer encryption for collected PII using standard libraries: deterministic AES-256-GCM at rest with HMAC-derived IVs so indexes survive encryption, and X25519 sealed boxes in transit. Closed a token-injection hole and a privilege-escalation hole.
  • Entity resolution matching WhatsApp contacts to a LinkedIn network with Splink and Vertex AI: 77.6% precision and 75.0% recall, measured against 234 human labels.
  • Database performance on multi-million-row tables and a rebuild of the funnel-metrics system. Details.

Independent contract, Belgian software company

Remote, October 2025 to present. A long-running engagement with a company I first worked with in 2019.

  • Re-architected the company-wide GitLab CI/CD template library, authored the .NET client library for a centralised logging platform, designed its MCP access layer, and wrote a Claude Code pre-commit hook. Details.
  • Generalised one client’s hard-coded event module into an installable, self-updating multi-tenant package: solution structure, schema, a template engine over a database-backed per-language resource system replacing .resx files, and a conditional price-rule engine.
  • Built a company-hosted CDN on .NET 10 as sole author. Details.
  • Quantified an ORM problem end to end: about 1,477 query round-trips carrying only about 800 ms of actual SQL. Ported the code to EF Core.

Career break, Japanese language study

August 2024 to October 2025.

Fourteen months dedicated to Japanese, including six months living in Japan as a language-school student. A deliberate step towards working in Japan. JLPT N2 is scheduled for December 2026.

Magicnet, DevOps Engineer and Full Stack Web Developer

November 2022 to August 2024. Power infrastructure and energy solutions.

  • Consolidated three diverged legacy systems into one unified .NET API with per-company behaviour flags.
  • Introduced DevOps from scratch. Deployments went from 10 to 15 minutes by hand to 3 to 5 minutes automated.
  • Cut the SAP-to-database sync from about 10 minutes to about 5 seconds with ADO.NET batch inserts.

Independent contract, Belgian software company, first engagement

Remote, July 2019 to November 2022.

  • Designed and built a stock and billing system for bonded alcohol storage. Still in production. Details.
  • Replaced a client’s Excel feed-planning model with a web application, including a domain calculation engine that keeps old and new result variants for side-by-side scenario comparison.
  • Led the technical design on those projects. Assigned and reviewed work for small remote teams of one to three engineers, reviewed code, and onboarded new joiners.

BSc in Information Systems and Technologies, Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, 2015 to 2019.
